Islands or wings, the tittle to the show, is a French play on word, "Iles ou ailes" - phonetically, "him or her" playing on a gentle ambivalence, used by the artist as a dreamlike narrative figuration. The theme explores the duality of the concepts of islands and wings, symbolizing both grounding and escape, protection and aspiration.”
